Welcome to my website! I'm Thomas Gaillard, freelance webdesigner based in Lyon. With a passion for the web, design and marketing, I create custom websites for clients in a variety of sectors. Originally from Lyon, I started my freelance web design career when I was studying for my baccalaureate in visual communication. This enabled me to learn the history of art, the rules of design and to practice on different graphic design software: Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop.
It was out of curiosity that I learned how to create websites. I was immediately fascinated by the world of the web, so I trained to create professional websites alongside my studies.
It was during my Master II in Strategy and Development that I acquired the skills needed to manage a digital project from start to finish: Business Plan, Web Marketing, SEO, SEA...
To begin with, I engage in a discussion phase with the customer to get a clear vision of his project. The aim here is to understand what is required, so as to be able to respond in the best possible way and deliver a product that meets the customer's expectations.
Once the project is properly understood, I move on to the design. I start by structuring the different elements of the site on a mock-up. This is then shared with the customer and serves as the basis for the layout of the elements on the site. Once validated, I move on to setting up the graphic identity: color, shape, typography...
Once the mock-up has been validated, I move on to installing WordPress and the various plugins linked to the project. I create each page of the site, giving regular feedback to my client to keep things moving in the right direction. During this stage, I also secure the site.
Once development is complete, I review the entire site with my customer and make any final modifications. Once we're happy with the result, I put the site online and optimize its SEO.
When it comes to software, I like to work with the best available. I've tested many, and the ones I use are the best for me.
